Sacred Heart Cathedral

Knoxville, Tennessee

McCrery Architects has acted as Design Architect for a new classically inspired Cathedral and Cathedral Campus for the Diocese of Knoxville located on the same site as the existing Cathedral, which will remain and be reused for parish activity. The New Cathedral takes its cues from early Christian and renaissance architecture in its aesthetics and typology. The plan reveals the cruciform type, with nave, transepts and apse, while the interior elevations reflects a rich tradition of religious art and architecture.
