McEssy and Feehan Library

Mundelein, Illinois

James McCrery was the principal in charge and the designer of the new McEssy Library at Mundelein Seminary north of Chicago. The library is the first new building on the campus built since the original campus was completed in the 1930’s. While being entirely fresh and modern, the building’s design and siting fit within the campus beautifully and respond to the latest ways the campus is used today. It is a campus favorite for the seminarian’s information there. Mundelein seminary has since been a multiple repeat client for McCrery Architects.
